This is a new 55 gallon ADA style rimless aquarium. The aquarium measures 48" long, 12" wide and 21" tall and was constructed with half inch thick, very high quality low-iron glass with beveled edges. The glass is non-tempered in case you want to drill holes in it for custom modification. The silicone was applied using direct injection as opposed to traditional method. Direct injection allows the silicone to adhere 100% to the glass rather than just 60-80 percent from traditional method. High quality professional grade silicone was used, which allows the tank to hold together without support from any trimming or euro-brace. Also, since the glass is half inch thick, it will not bow under pressure. The tank is tried and true and ready to be taken home. The tank weighs, I'm guessing, roughly 75 pounds.
